Responsible for the accounting side of payroll processing including policies and procedures, tax notification, and ensuring that company-wide payroll practices meet IRS and State compliance regulations. Requires constant interaction with work group and other departments at the primary work location.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Clean up and monitor the process for weekly reconciliation of the payroll processing cycle. Ensure that what goes through the HR side of SAP is properly accounted for on the FI side of SAP.
  • Develop a plan to bring off-cycle check processing in-house.
  • Handle plant notification of ADP tax drafts/garnishments.
  • Be responsible for the quarter-end tax reconciliation process.
  • Perform the advance analysis for the requirements to bring parts/all of the current ADP functions in house.
  • Have day-to-day responsibility for answering controller’s calls regarding payroll, payroll taxes, and garnishments.
  • Process W2s and W2Cs
  • Employees and Distributors.
  • Process quarterly earnings adjustments/moving expense.
  • Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
  • Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Five to ten years experience preferred.

Desired Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
