Tawkify brings personalized matchmaking to the masses through technology with a human touch. Founded by Stanford alumni in 2012, we’ve built a successful platform that generates 8 figures of revenue/year with little capital raised. In the past year, we’ve doubled our team to > 100 and looking to 3x our tight-knit engineering team of 11 people. We have an extremely diverse team – our leadership team is 50/50 men and women, and our backgrounds include life coaches to writers to engineers.

We’re looking for someone passionate about building tools that empower our hundreds of matchmakers to find and build meaningful relationships for our clients. You’ll build features to help matchmakers search for potential matches, design curated dates, and communicate with their clients.

Potential projects include:

• building a matchmaker search interface that utilizes data from machine learning to recommend matches based on their profile, past dates, and feedback
• a date designer tool that allows matchmakers to easily build a meaningful date based on using past dates, user profiles, and the Google Places API
• building a graphQL layer on top of our API

Job Responsibilities:

• Design modern web experiences focused on increasing customer acquisition and engagement
• Extend platform features to empower teams across the company to work more effectively
• Engineer innovative tools to scale critical business workflows
• Collaborate with other developers to architect and optimize beautiful code
• Implement strong instrumentation to provide critical customer and business intelligence

Job Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science or other engineering fields
• 2+ years in developing web services and/or mobile apps
• Experienced in shipping high quality, high performance software at scale
• Passionate about building usable, intuitive user experiences that delight
• Proficient coding in Javascript, PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, Java, C#, C++/C, and/or equivalent
• Proficient with Javascript, HTML, CSS
• Proficient with designing schema and queries for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or equivalent
• Familiar with modern front-end/back-end design paradigms
• Experience with GraphQL is a plus
• Effective communicator and team player
• Hungry to learn
