The Role
We’re in search of a sales professional to help us grow and scale of our largest territory. Ideal candidates will have experience with territory management, including growth, account management, sales prospecting, and lead conversion, as well as hundreds of existing enterprise accounts. This position is autonomous in many ways, but you’ll will work closely with our Territory Manager and Community Management team with shared objectives. As such, the ability to partner with others is key to this position.
In this role, the Sales Executive – Territory Sales and Support will co-own growth of enterprise accounts throughout North America.
Focus will be multifaceted, and include:
- Constant consultative interaction with Information Professionals in North America
- Identification, cultivation, and conversion of inbound leads
- Nurturing and optimizing of existing leads
- Co-ownership of outbound campaigns and other sales related activities
- Intricate knowledge of client accounts for the purposes of optimizing growth
- Increasing the value of existing revenue by constantly prospecting and identifying new opportunities.
- Collaborative territory management to include planning, strategy, and execution of all processes required to close territory opportunities. (Work collaboratively with Territory Manager)
- Co-ownership of licensing and invoicing processes.
Ours is a subscription-based model, so experience with B2B sales and/or site licensing is desired. In addition to experience in the academic, medical and/or corporate environments, knowledge of multi-site acquisitions of SAAS and other CTS (content/tools/services) in the STM market is preferred.

The Sales Executive – Territory Sales and Support will continuously identify and create new business opportunities from various sources such as sales prospecting, timely follow up, and strategic planning. Daily interaction with territory manager will be required for the purposes of collaborative planning and execution of strategy.
Tracking of communication and progress and are key, so additional responsibilities may include:
- Daily update of organizational CRM – Maintaining up to date and accurate list of sales activities.
- Maintaining accessible and organized filing system for sales and administrative documents
- Generating usage reports
- Respond to customer inquiries as a priority
- Scheduling client conferences and meetings.
- Facilitating license discussions, and invoice processing.
- Completing Vendor Registration and Technical Forms
- Performing data entry duties in regard to metrics, sales figures, and other key data
- The ability to identify, qualify, and optimize B2B business opportunities.
- Liaise with other departments throughout the organization as a means of maintaining open and effective communication.
- Assist in processing sales in a timely manner.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 USD plus bonus and medical benefits.
