Job Description

The Total Reward Specialist will be responsible for providing compensation administration and support including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development and associated analysis.

Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

  • Responsible for day to day administration and support of compensation programs to include, case management through HR Hub system, and rewards and recognition software.
  • Responsible for administration of reward and recognition platform including communications, associate support, and leader engagement.
  • Review and evaluate new and existing job descriptions to recommend grading, market matches and DOL compliance. Ensures job descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by the role.
  • Works closely with Compensation and Reporting Manager(s) on a variety of projects including program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation of new programs related to base pay, variable compensation programs.
  • Prepares information for salary survey participation.
  • May support Compensation & Reporting and Mergers & Acquisitions teams with M&A activity.
  • Develop, maintain and generate and respond to report requests from business, HRBP and Human Resource team.
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual government reporting including EEO-1 and CA Pay reporting requirements.
  • Respond and provide reporting for business requests to RFPs.
  • Maintains job profile database and ensures data integrity of associate data within HRIS.
  • Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supports annual salary planning process, including system set up and readiness, audit for data integrity, training, communication, and delivery.
  • Provides analytical support and data analysis on projects and HR metrics.
  •  Works with HRIS team in maintaining compensation module for merit plans, bonus plans, job profiles, and reporting.  Assists on special projects as needed.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline
  • A minimum of 1year experience within compensation administration
  • A minimum of 1year experience with reporting and analytics
  • Knowledge of Workday, preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical and project management skills
  • Basic knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel (including V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc)
  • Motivated and innovative with a process improvement outlook
  • Proven ability to work well with others
  • Good organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, one-on-one or in a group
  • Ability to work independently
