Villa is looking for a UX Designer to join our team.
To own our UX strategy and design across our web-app and platform used by customers, employees, partners and external operations.
The User Experience (UX) Designer is to create and direct excellent user experience design and deliverables for Villa projects, according to user-centered design principles and Villa standards. The User Experience Designer will be the voice on a project for Villa’s UX approach, within the project team and in interactions with clients.
In addition, s/he will represent UX by developing appropriate guidelines, and by overseeing and mentoring other product managers and engineers, ensuring quality deliverables and helping cross functional team members understand and model Villa best practices.

What You’ll Do:

  • As UX lead on a project, define usability objectives, and design a strong user experience.
  • Create project deliverables that clearly and persuasively communicate the UX strategy and the reasoning behind it. These deliverables include: project plans, discovery findings, research protocols, research findings, personas, task lists, workflows, wireframes, page maps, interaction and behavior specifications, and anything else required to describe UX plans and strategies.
  • Drive end-to-end interaction design: collaborating with development in the design of the information architecture and defining how the user navigates and interacts with the product.
  • Present concepts, facilitate brainstorm sessions, and workshops with clients, product managers, and team leads.
  • Work closely with product and engineering leadership to resolve issues and maintain the quality of Villa’s web application.
  • Work closely with product leadership and strategy to assist in refining processes and practices with regards to user research, design planning, and usability studies.
  • Constructive participation in team workshops to develop and refine best practices and processes.
  • Staying abreast of industry best practices for UX design and processes, and for any project, gathering sufficient information to support appropriate UX design for the given platform and technology.

What You Have:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a UI/UX designer
  • B2C and B2B / enterprise software experience
  • Experienced in prototyping, user testing and analysis
  • Experienced building simple clean interfaces for complex products
  • Experience working in products that engage users with a complex underlying workflows and processes
  • Data driven design
  • Proven experience leading the UX practice on projects.
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions.
  • BA or MA in Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, or HCI, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in human interface guidelines, standards, and best practices as they apply to platforms
  • Use appropriate software (e.g. Figma, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, or OminGraffle) to create professional-quality, well-designed deliverables, to Villa specifications.
