“
As a Senior Product Manager for Search and Tools, you will be responsible for key product discovery and money saving experiences of 12M monthly visitors across 100M+ monthly visits as well as building tools to help our Merchandising Operations teams become more effective and efficient. Search is the key way shoppers discover products and great deals that are shared by community members, and the Merchandising Operations teams are responsible for additional sourcing and quality control of deals as well as community moderation.
We are looking for an adaptable and data-inclined product manager who can empathize with the two distinctively different customer sets (shoppers and internal staff) and be able to make sharp investment and prioritization decisions. You will dive deep into quantitative and qualitative feedback, paint the visions, craft roadmaps, evangelize the “why”, design experiments, and manage execution of features that unlock powerful experiences. You determine what features we launch next and why. If you are a creative problem solver, love to get your hands dirty with data, and obsessed with delighting your users, you will thrive in this role. In this position, you support a Director of Product Management responsible for Deal Supply and Enrichment within our Deals Value Stream.

Understand shopper behaviors and needs through research, internal and third-party analytics, and direct interactions with shoppers
Develop a deep understanding of internal team operations and how each of their activity impacts shoppers
Constantly re-evaluate how well products and features serve goals, identify detractions and opportunities to better serve the goals
Make clear prioritization decisions that promote well-defined and timely product releases
Communicate product strategy across all levels of the organization.
Define roadmaps, plan execution of, and deliver innovative B2C and Internal products
Develop new products and deliver enhancements to existing products that differentiate Slickdeals from the competition
Analyze and act on business metrics and data to grow the business
Experienced in designing simple and intuitive user interfaces, creating examples through wireframes
Be the central hub of communication and facilitate collaboration across all parts of the business related to Search and Internal Tools products
Performs other duties as assigned
THE CANDIDATE:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of successful product management experience at a consumer Internet company with experience building consumer facing applications
Experience in creating product roadmaps for new features, and communicating those decisions to stakeholders and business owners at all levels
Ability to write clear and concise requirements and other documentation for initiatives both large and small
Familiarity with multivariate testing and analysis
Ability to understand the technology behind products
Comfortable with collaborating with software architecture teams
Comfortable with non-user facing algorithmic / API backend products / features
Comfortable with communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable with creating wireframes of new features
Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
Great process and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving
Understanding of project management methodologies; Agile, Lean, Scrum
Proficient in data analytics software such as Excel, Tableau, Google Analytics and Heap
Demonstrated improvement on KPIs via product releases
Highly self-directed and self-motivated
Resourceful and have a “whatever it takes” mentality
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in developing e-commerce products, search technologies and/or internal tools are strongly desired
Have created products and features from scratch following a path of research, ideation, experiment, measure, learn, build, and iterate.
Track record of defining and delivering innovative software products
Experience in building differentiating and defendable product strategies
Experience in designing user interfaces and performing user research
Experience in using project delivery software and ticketing systems such as JIRA
Experience in Elasticsearch (Solr, Lucene) or another information retrieval system (Sphinx, Xapian, etc)
Experience in SQL
