Atlassian Administrator – REMOTE

Actalent is hiring an Atlassian Admin to support cutting edge Aerospace/Defense programs including ERAM (En Route Automation Modernization) for the FAA which will be the next generation air transportation system for air traffic management.

Description:

• Supports a software development team that is working on high-reliability, high-availability, mission critical software for a Government customer as a Atlassian Systems Administrator/ CM.
• This role involves interfacing heavily with product development centric Software Development teams who are working to hit milestones on a program. The system is a real time system processing mission critical data.
• Atlassian administrator would own all elements of management of the Atlassian tools utilized including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.
• Maintain user information and access and manage all requirements for access to various tools, passwords and login information.
• Maintain data incorporated and utilized by the tools according to the prime contractor’s standards for IT security
• Support the Software Development team in their achievement/ tracking of milestones toward build release schedules as needed.
• Support other configuration management related tasks as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or another technical Discipline.
• At least 5-10 yrs of relevant experience.
• Expertise in the Atlassian suite including JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.
• Must have experience in a product-centric software development environment.
• Working with teams of SW developers with tangible development goals and objectives.
• Experience managing and controlling access for a software development team for the various SW tools there.
• Experience supporting government programs and/or other high-reliability systems is required.
• Previous experience in other areas of SW Configuration Management (CM) would be a plus.
• Previous software scripting experience would be highly desired (Bash, Python, Java, JavaScript, Linux/Unix, etc.)
• Any previous knowledge of object oriented development (OOD/ OOP/ OOM) would be a plus but not required.
