Lumida is a venture-backed, tech-enabled investment advisor mandated for digital asset and alternative investment portfolios. We are a growing team of seasoned operating executives and investment professionals with offices in Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Miami. Our backers include seed investors in Ribbit Capital, MultiCoin, and Robinhood.

We are seeking to hire a Chief of Staff to work directly with and support our Chief Operations Officer. We are targeting a start date at the candidate’s earliest convenience.

Your Department and Role

The Chief of Staff will provide broad support to the Chief Operating Officer who oversees advisory operations, finance, people, risk, compliance, and legal. With that broad mandate, the Chief of Staff will help us improve the planning and execution of our most critical priorities.  The individual will provide cross functional support to develop  project plans, operational processes, and key performance indicators. 

Responsibilities

Business Operations

  • Identify operational gaps; implement and improve business processes and programs so that Lumida can grow as efficiently and effectively as possible 
  • Drive in-depth analyses with thorough financial models, ensuring their quality, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Oversee vendor due diligence and benchmarking
  • Support all critical people functions, including recruiting processes

Management Routines

  • Lead weekly management routines (e.g., recruiting, client delivery & on-boarding, etc.)
  • Work cross functionally to support strategic and financial planning processes (e.g., monthly reviews, annual budget, long-range plan)
  • Drive analysis to assist company develop, manage, track, measure, focusing on various challenges/opportunities depending on team priorities
  • Organize pre and post mortems for key projects and Objectives, and present lessons learned and recommendations

Project Management & Analysis

  • Oversee project reporting via Asana to ensure accurate reporting and effective execution 
  • Maintain documentation to track commitments, open issues and decisions, as well as meeting minutes to ensure accountability and enhance institutional memory
Qualifications
  • Neverending drive for excellence and top-1-percentile performance (*this quality is required for every employee at Lumida)
  • Impeccable communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Excellent presentation skills (*a case study may be administered during the interview process)
  • A data-focused mindset with experience in a metrics-driven environment
  • Applied knowledge of project management methodology, techniques and tools; experience with Asana is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in management consulting, financial services, or project management / business operations
  • Experience in startups or other greenfield operational environments
  • Crypto-native 
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance is required
