Job Description
Truphone’s Wholesale team is a fundamental enabler for the Truphone business and this is a critical and high profile role at the heart of Wholesale’s activities. The Wholesale team is responsible for the establishment and management of relationships with mobile operators who provide Truphone with connectivity into our global core network from which we serve our consumer, IoT and enterprise customers. The Commercial Manager for Wholesale will support the negotiation & delivery of new agreements working with the existing relationship managers along with building relationships & working closely with IoT & Sales teams to ensure stronger commercial business cases. This role will also build and oversee the regional commercial strategy for delivering on the wholesale objectives as well as supporting and owning dedicated project initiatives across the group.
We are open to hire candidates in the UK, Portugal, Poland, Germany and Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaison between Wholesale team and IoT/Enterprise sales teams for deal review
- Work with the Commercial teams in Finance to ensure all deal analysis is using the correct Wholesale input costs
- Support in commercial analysis of critical NVNO and roaming agreements to support Head of Carrier, Roaming & MVNO with partner negotiations
- Take ownership & accountability of the commercial forecasting and budget setting for Wholesale
- Manage the quarterly roaming agreement cycle to maximize cost optimization across Wholesale
- Ownership of the Footprint Database and IoT Footprints quarterly reviews and updates
- Support and own dedicated strategic initiatives within the wholesale domain
Requirements
- Relevant degree in economics, business or natural science with a strong focus on data analysis
- Driven, resilient, capable of thriving in a super-fast paced environment
- Excellent commercial skills and a strong analytical ability
- Excellent communicator; highly organised; forthright; driven; energetic; robust; able to work independently without supervision.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically and translate strategic thinking into solid deliverables and plans
- Able to form strong relationships both with our partners and internally
- Strong understanding of the mobile sector and technology
- Experience in mobile wholesale (e.g. MVNO and or roaming)
