Forbes Advisor is a new initiative for consumers under the Forbes Marketplace umbrella that provides journalist- and expert-written insights, news and reviews on all things personal finance.

Job Description
We’re looking to grow our data-driven reporting output, and we want to help guide our readers to make the best choices through best-ofs, product reviews, engaging content and SEO-driven journalism. Responsibilities:

  • Help the Managing Data Editor build and scale content efforts, including managing the day-to-day content workflow
  • Find, recruit, and set up new freelancers as needed. Train and support freelancers on how to use Forbes tools and style guides
  • Work with the managing editor to build best data practices for the editorial team, including content, data storage, survey calendars, templates, imagery and social media standards
  • Leverage data and SEO best practices to create survey topics for content teams and manage the survey workflow in collaboration with editorial, digital PR and SEO
  • Work collaboratively with the global editorial team, creating best practices worldwide for the space
  • Edit and produce automated editorial content
  • Build methodologies to rate and rank related products and services for best-ofs
  • Brainstorm and contribute to social content efforts

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience in data journalism
  • 3-5 years of experience in online journalism
  • Demonstrably strong understanding of the automation space
  • Experience with SEO best practices, willingness to learn and expand SEO skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Nimble and open to quick changes in strategy
