Vertrical is an international custom development partner for digital health pioneers with a 100% remote set-up. We design and build web & mobile solutions for digital health and pharma scale-ups and enterprises. We combine health and technology, which is pretty cool, right?

We are planning to strengthen our US team in the future and need your support as a freelancer. So if you’re up for digital health projects in the USA and if you’re located in Colombia, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina or any other latin or central american country, we will be happy to receive your CV.

Your Role

As an experienced JavaScript Developer you will be part of one of our Engineering teams, led by a Team Lead and a Business Analyst. Regarding the work, it’s a 100 % remote job and teams are sized in a way they are flexible enough to work at comforting and happy pace. Your primary responsibility is building software solutions, which includes building new features as well as fixing and improving old features. You will have daily team stand-up meetings and the rest of the day you’ll be coding away, constantly working on various tasks whether it is building a new feature or fixing a bug. This includes collaborating with other developers on technical challenges, discussing and solving them. You would definitely be expected to produce well-structured, well-written, fully-functional pieces of software, and you’re given a great environment to constantly learning and growing your skills surrounded by other talented software developers.

About you

You are a freelance Fullstack Developer, of course. But you are also a quick-learner and an engaged communicator. You’re persistent and curious and a person with positive energy, who truly enjoys to be a part of a team and loves working in an international environment.

We do not think in rigid requirements, but here are a few things you can impress us with:

• We need strong knowledge in JavaScript. That’s a must. Additionally, knowledge in Typescript is appreciated or at least knowledge in another strongly typed language like C#.
• For frontend: React knowledge is strongly preferred, at least one of SSG frameworks Next/Gatsby/Remix is beneficial.
• For backend: Knowledge in NestJS would be a major plus but we know it’s not a very common framework. We’d be happy with Koa or Fastify knowledge or with a very strong Angular background.
• Good knowledge in AWS and/or Azure is a plus
• Nice to have: Good knowledge in Python (Django)
• Excellent non-violent communication skills in English (other languages are of course a plus)
• Not being afraid of failing and learning on the go
• Readiness to collaborate and communicate with a mixed, cross-cultural, international team
