Job Description

Wieni is a home for sustainable digital talent. To support our long-standing partnerships with A-list brands, we are looking for React developers who want to contribute to a better internet.

Full time, Remote position, Employee or Contractor

As a React developer you will join our software team that designs & develops web applications that excel in performance & user experience. We have been doing this the past ten years for clients such as VRTSBS Belgium, DNS Belgium, UZ LeuvenBRUZZ, Studio 100, De Tijd, Stad Leuven, Joker Reizen, …

  • HTML, CSS and Javascript have no secrets for you. You are up to date with the most recent standards.
  • You have got experience with React and you own an extensive toolkit to keep track of the state in an application – from useState() to redux-toolkit.
  • You have an understanding of the full web stack (HTTP, JSON, REST APIs, …) and data structures in Javascript.
  • You have experience with different tools to bundle and optimise frontend assets, such as WebpackVite or Parcel. You know how to set up a React project from scratch.
  • Just Javascript? No, you like TypeScript even more and you crave for new releases and features.
  • You have knowledge of Node.js.
  • You can work with GIT as version control.
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in this role (or you can make our jaws drop based on relevant projects you recently completed).

Master or bachelor degree in Computer Science/Informatics (or similar through work experience).
An experienced developer in a similar context for minimum 3 years

  • a spot in our team of sustainable digital talent
  • a full-time job in a 100% digital agency
  • a 40-hour working week
  • a salary with many other extra benefits
  • mainly remote work, but also a big office in the historical centre of Leuven
  • the possibility to determine when you work, with flexible working hours
  • a small team with maximum responsibility
  • an extensive Learning & Development programme, so you can continuously develop yourself and your capabilities
  • customers and projects with impact – working for a better and more accessible internet
  • an employer with a top reputation

We work in a culture that is built for and by our employees: in collaboration & teamwork, always open & transparent, driven by empathy, inspiring, no nonsense, getting shit done, with a punctual mindset.

We believe work is an activity, and not a place. We offer high flexibility when it comes to where and when you work. We default to asynchronous communication.
However, we also acknowledge the limits of asynchronous and remote communication. For certain high interaction or social connection activities, we will push for real life interaction.

  1. Send us your cover letter & CV
  2. You’re invited to a “culture check” interview
  3. You talk to our CTO and a future colleague
