The Company
Fuzzy is your pet health partner. On a mission to make pet care more accessible, Fuzzy is a subscription-based service offering members 24/7 Live Vet Chat support, virtual vet consultations, and on-demand answers from a team of licensed, on-staff pet health experts. Fuzzy also offers pet parents vet-tested and recommended products and personalized programs for nutrition, training, and obedience.
Through technology, we’re creating a different type of relationship between pet parents and their veterinary caregivers – one that’s personal, empowering, and focused on improving the lives of animals.
The Role
Our Data Science team partners with teams across the company to better understand our users, measure what they’re doing within our web and mobile apps, and identify new opportunities for retention, growth, and optimization.
We collect data from a wide variety of data sources and the day-to-day ranges from conducting ad-hoc analysis and investigations, communicating with business partners across the organization, creating dashboards, and crafting database queries. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, curious, and a clear communicator.
Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of user behavior and user journeys across our apps
- Analyze and share findings on initiatives spanning areas such as: user behavior, new product features and tests, marketing optimizations, and customer segmentation
- Help instrument in-app actions and events to drive better measurement
- Collaborate with team members to learn and improve together through query/code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to help us design and define success metrics and track progress
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience of turning data into insights and recommendations
- Strong SQL skills are required (we use Snowflake as our warehouse)
- Proven analytical and communication skills to turn data into compelling stories
- Experience in at least two of the following three areas: Leveraging instrumentation and analytics tools (we use Segment and Amplitude), Designing and conducting experiments, Scripting through R or Python
