We are an open-source Network that spans the research to development pipeline to create new protocols, tools, and services to radically improve the internet. Our products serve thousands of organizations and millions of people. Many teams in the Network are fully distributed and follow a common set of open source practices to grow and flourish together. The DevCo people team is a team challenging the status quo of Global employment infrastructure. Inspired by Web3 principles, our small but mighty team is designing and scaling new ways of enabling Global and Distributed workforces. Today we support over 300 Labbers across 25 countries in all aspects related to Global Employment including EOR partnerships, Immigration, Benefits, and People Technology.

About the role

  • Contribute significantly to the functional and operational strategy to the DevCo People Ops Team
  • Engage in some of our highest-priority PLN efforts, and convert ideas into tangible results with the People Ops team
  • Provide HR policy expertise, guidance, and interpretation. Monitor adherence to internal policies and employment law requirements.
  • Support the execution of OKR’s across the DevCo People team
  • Steer the evolution of efficient work practices by enabling digitalization, automation and technology
  • Manage all aspects of the company’s global benefits (renewals, plan design, administration).
  • Make sound business/people recommendations and decisions by interpreting and synthesizing data
  • Manage and lead a team that execute critical People Ops operations programs
  • Deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a high volume workload supporting People Team and leadership
  • Take a systems-oriented approach to designing, scaling, and refining people programs to align incentives between teams, individuals, and organizations
  • Review/audit processes and data, identify opportunities to scale, streamline and improve processes and procedures, and recommend and implement solutions while understanding downstream impact
  • Ensure People Ops’ goals support the short-term needs of the PLN while also planning for the long-term growth of the PLN.
  • Drive cycles of continuous improvement that simplify People Ops service delivery

Skills and Experience

  1. 6+ years of experience in People Ops and 2+ years in a people leadership role
  2. Experience participating in decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), web3 teams, or the blockchain/distributed-web space
  3. Past experience in remote and globally distributed companies
  4. Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams
  5. Demonstrated ability to work within and be successful in a high-growth environment, adapting and adjusting quickly to changing priorities
  6. Experience having built underlying people processes from scratch that are highly scalable and flexible
  7. Excellent communication and consultative skills; the ability to translate data for different audiences
  8. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, and to build and maintain successful relationships with all levels of the organization, achieve credibility, and influence outcomes
  9. Demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive programs and execute on projects independently and resourcefully
  10. Proven ability to take ownership of a problem from start to finish without missing requirements
  11. Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment handling sensitive and confidential data
  12. Proven analytical and data management skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable next steps, projects and processes
  13. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with your own work and reviewing the work of others
  14. Excellent Google suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms) and Notion skills
